Recent Best Western Thunderbird Review: "We arrived late (after 10 pm local time) and were able to check in with complete ease. It was chilly (1st weekend in October) and there's a heater (and air conditioner, though we didn't use it) and that was very nice to get the room toasty and comfy. TV is older and picture wasn't fantastic, but I'm not picky about technology. Had coffee maker and fridge  in room which was great. Best continental breakfast! The woman there will make you a fresh Belgium waffle and there were eggs, cereal, toast, muffins, yogurt, bagels, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, juice, milk, coffee, tea...so much and no extra charge! Location is very convenient to downtown Mackinaw City. No lake view, but that's how you can get such a bargain! There was a very nice looking indoor pool and hot tub, but we didn't use it. Would definitely recommend...lots of bang for your buck!"
