Recent Island House Hotel Review: "We really loved this hotel-up on a hill and you could see the beautiful lake and boats. Loved the porch and flowers-the hotel was excellent. Very quiet-not on top of the hub-bub but you had very easy access. We brought our bikes-well worth it! I loved how the hotel brought your luggage to you from the ferry, and took it back to the mainland so we could  still enjoy the island after we checked out. I actually picked this hotel for the beautiful porches and how it sat on the hill. It really reminded me of the Grand Hotel-for a fraction of the price!"
