| The staff was friendly and helpful; the location to other points of interest was excellent and we very much enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of the hotel restaurant. A good choice for more economy-minded tourists! Our 2 night stay was very satisfactory. |

| We were very happy with the Island House. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great! We were thrilled to find out it had a pool and it was indoor and very nice! We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying on the island. We enjoyed our stay very much! |

| We throughly enjoyed it. Our room was very nice and comfortable. It was located close to everything we needed. The staff was friendly. We have already recommended it to family and friends. |

| The hotel is just at the end of the main street and is in walking distance to all the attractions, It has been well kept and is also up to date with wifi and sat tv. the food that we had at the hotel was very good. |

| We waited almost 2 hours for our luggge to be brought from the dock and delievered to our room. The front desk staff was courteous but couldn't offer an explanation why we had to wait so long. The wait staff we experienced over breakfast were very delightful. Each morning we were greeted in the restaurant and very well taken care of. Our room was clean but the air conditioner didn't work well. It was very old.The hotel lobby area could use some TLC. The furniture is old and dirty. All in all we enjoyed our stay. |

| We really loved this hotel-up on a hill and you could see the beautiful lake and boats. Loved the porch and flowers-the hotel was excellent. Very quiet-not on top of the hub-bub but you had very easy access. We brought our bikes-well worth it! I loved how the hotel brought your luggage to you from the ferry, and took it back to the mainland so we could still enjoy the island after we checked out. I actually picked this hotel for the beautiful porches and how it sat on the hill. It really reminded me of the Grand Hotel-for a fraction of the price! |

| We returned this year to the Island House. What it lacks in modern updating it more than makes up for in friendliness and location. The hotel itself has a wonderful view of the harbor, and they have chairs on the lawn in front of a fire, where we can visit (or not!) with other guests, and watch the bikes and horses pass by. It really is lovely, and we will come back next year...... |

| Had a wonderful time. Island house had a lot of history which we enjoyed learning as well as the perfect location to harbor, downtown and ferries. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the staff friendly and helpful. Loved our visit. |
