| Mission Point Resort is one of the two major resorts on Mackinac Island. It's more affordable than the Grand Hotel, but the service is just as grand.
The service and staff was spectacular. Courteous, genuine and happy. It's usually hard to get all three.
Our room was a little smaller and a little less "high tech" than I expected, but that's what you're going to get anywhere on the island.
The resort is a good 15-20 minute walk from the main strip on Mackinac Island, so consider that when planning to visit. I'd recommend renting or bringing a bike if you're staying for a few days. |

| Loved staying at Mission Point on Machinac Island however the one suggestion I would make is improving the bathroom conveniences. Being slightly handicapped, I had much difficulty getting on and off the toilet because they were so low. Also, why use such flimsy toilet paper and have to use twice as much when you can use a better quality and not have to. |

| Initially I was hesitant to book my stay at Mission point because of some sub-par reviews, however from the time of landing on Mackinac island until the departure our stay was amazing.
The room was very clean and comfortable and modernized. The bed was very comfortable and mattress was new.
All of the hotel staff was extremely helpful from activities desk, to front-desk, to bell-staff, to restaurant/bar staff. Everyone was always smiling and very courteous and helpful.
I did also take my dog with me, and the facility was very welcoming. On one occasion when we wanted to see the sites where he might not be welcome they had dog-sitting service that was very flexible and took excellent care of him.
I am definitely going to plan to return to Mackinac Island, and I will definitely stay at Mission point again. |

| Lovely old hotel ... a bit worn though. Management could spend some money on making repairs to keep this beauty at top notch. Noticed peeling paint, worn steps, frayed carpeting ... Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Location and view are amazing. Our room was comfortable and clean. |

| This is a full service hotel. I enjoyed it very much. I stayed in an older part of the Hotel " the straits" and I found the walls a little thin so there were times when the noise from adjacent rooms was disconcerting otherwise I felt the Hotel was good value. |

| The resort was a peacful place to unwind. The resort had a great views of the water and lots of room to roam. The room we had was quite small, but comfortable and clean, could use some updating, small TV and very small bathroom. The staff was very friendly and polite. There were a few choices as to where to eat and we enjoyed the ones we chose. The resort is about 1 mile from town and a easy walk. We really enjoyed our stay. |

| This hotel was MASSIVE. Several restaurants on-site, hot tub, pool, huge lawn overlooking the water with plenty of chairs to sit in. The room was clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was a bit squashed (toilet was practically under the sink) but overall a very clean and relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend it. The one downside was that it was literally on the very edge of town, so it took ~10-15 minutes to walk from there to the shops downtown. |

| We got a great price for a room during the week on the island, however the room was so small it made the stay very uncomfortable. You could barely turn around in the bathroom (this is not an exageration)! Even though the room was classified as a queen room ...that's about all the room would hold! |
