| If you're only looking for a place to lay your head then this is a good place. Very small and the room was dated. For all the girls out there it is a very small bathroom...kind of old but kept clean. |

| This place is decorated like the 70's... lol.. it smells that way too, but the sheets and room and bathroom were all super clean, so that was good! Very close to the ferries to mackinaw island. |

| Excellent location and extremely friendly service. Very simple accomodations with 1950s decor BUT for our purposes (a place to sleep on the way back from a Mackinaw Island excursion) - it was great. Kids loved the pool and play area and adults loved the hot tub. |

| Typowy motel. Pokoje w szeregowcu. Dobre miejsce wypadowe na Wyspę Mackinac. W recepcji można dostać talon zmniejszający o kilkanaście procent koszt promu na wyspę Mackinac. Centrum miasteczka w zasięgu 15 minutowego spaceru. Pokój duży. Łazienka i toaleta w normie. Wi-Fi słabe, dostęp w jednym miejscu pokoju. Obsługa w recepcji sympatyczna i uczynna. Śniadanie symboliczne. |

| The hotel is OK in terms of amenities. You get what you pay for.
Overall it was a comfortable stay and the complimentary breakfast though not great was a nice add on. The manager/owner was courteous and cooperative. The room lacked basic amenities like hair dryer, coffee maker, extra pillows and room size was small too.
One plus is that you get to park your car right outside your room which helps a lot for unloading/loading your luggage. |

| A friend and I wanted to visit Mackinac Island and didn't want to pay the expensive Island hotel prices, so we booked Starlite Budget Inn in Mackinaw City and hopped the ferry to Mackinac. Bonnie, who seemed to be the proprietor, cleaning service person, maintenance person, pool attendant, and cook was a real sweetheart. She never rested at all!! Location of hotel was perfect---things not necessarily walkable, so have a car. Town was really nice, safe, laid back, historic.
Room was extremely nice. Very "homey" decor. Very clean. No coffee/tea maker or hairdryer. Wonderfully comfortable bed.
Breakfast was basic; bagels, instant oatmeal, coffee, tea, juice, cereal. She did have some biscuits with chicken gravy available.
Pool and sauna was available, looked great, but didn't use it.
This Inn is great for the price, convenience and effort that Bonnie puts forth to make your stay pleasant. |

| The woman who greeted us in the lobby is the do-all kind of a woman who was there every minute of every day. She didn't say it, but I'm thinking she was the owner. She was very friendly and helpful. The room was perfectly adequate and clean. The TV channels never came in well which was a minor annoyance at night. The pool looked really nice but we didn't use it. The continental breakfast was nothing special but I thought the biscuits and gravy were pretty good. It's perfect if you're not really a big breakfast kind of person. Check in and check out were both simple and very old school. Real keys for the doors. Downtown is about half a mile away. About a 10 minute walk, and there's a shuttle for using Shepler's ferry out to the island. Overall, this is a great place to stay if on a budget. If I had more money to work with I'd stay right in town but this place is definitely priced right and decent. |
